Radiesse® is a safe and long-lasting treatment for the enhancement of facial features. Ideal wrinkle reduction is achieved by replenishing your skin’s lost volume due to a reduction of your own collagen. Upon injection, Radiesse immediately provides the volume and lift required to diminish the signs of aging through the calcium-based microspheres and gel that comprise the product. Longer term, Radiesse acts as a scaffold under the skin, providing structure and stimulating the growth of your own natural collagen. Radiesse is used to restore volume and fullness to the nasolabial folds, marionette lines, tear troughs, cheeks (as opposed to cheek implants) chin, scars as well as the hands. On average, Radiesse lasts approximately 1 to 2 years and no pre-testing is necessary.

Juvederm

Juvederm™ Ultra and Ultra Plus are safe and natural cosmetic dermal fillers used to restore volume and fullness to the lips and nasolabial folds, and to correct moderate facial wrinkles. Made of a synthetic form of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance already existing in the human body, Juvederm is biodegradable and completely biocompatible with human hyaluronic acid. Juvederm generally lasts about 6 to 9 months, and no pre-testing is necessary. Staying hydrated by drinking plenty of water, will help Juvederm to dissipate more slowly and last longer.

Information & Instructions for your Filler Appointment:

• It is NOT necessary to know which filler you would prefer prior to your injection appointment. At the appointment, Dr. Gaboriau can help you decide what would work best to achieve your desired results.
• DO NOT take any anti-inflammatory medications or blood thinners (aspirin, Ibuprofen, fish oil, etc.) for one week prior to injections in order to reduce the risks of bruising.
• After your treatment, talking, smiling, and laughing should be kept to a minimum for the remainder of the day.
• Some swelling in the injected area(s) is common and can last up to 72 hours.
• DO eat something prior to your appointment.
• The first appointment for filler injections lasts about 45 minutes.
