Acne Peels

  1. Actinage: The Actinage Peel is a medical grade procedure used to treat oily and blemish prone skin. Useful in treating moderate to severe acne, the peel can be performed even during active breakouts.
The Actinage Peel combines Salicylic acid with Azelaic acid and Mandelic acid at high concentrations (12% each). In addition, a 2% concentration of Retinol is added at the end of the peel. The Actinage Peel is done in the office by a medical aesthetician and takes only about 15 minutes. Usually one treatment every 4 - 6 weeks is needed, up to 6 treatments.

Home-care products: A full kit of post peel products is given to the patient with instructions for at-home follow up care.

  2. Salicylic Acid Peel: The Salicylic Acid Peel is used to treat mild acne, using a 2% concentration of Salicylic acid, in combination with microdermabrasion. The microdermabrasion removes dead skin cells and impurities which allows a deeper penetration of the Salicylic acid for a better effect. Usually one treatment every 4 - 6 weeks is needed, up to 6 treatments.
