Liquid Facelift
A liquid facelift is a combination of Botox and filler injections. We call it Liquid Facelift since it doesn't involve surgery. However, this non-invasive procedure lifts facial tissues and reduces wrinkles.

Botox
Botox is used primarily on “dynamic” wrinkles found on the forehead, the glabella, the eye contour and the chin.

  • Forehead: Fine lines and wrinkles on the forehead can be erased by Botox. In fact, greater results can be achieved with this procedure than with a forehead lift.

  • Glabella: The glabella, the space between the eyebrows and above the nose, can be the home of deep wrinkles for many. Botox can achieve a lift of the brows to reduce wrinkles almost similar to what can be achieved with a brow lift.

  • Eye Contour: Known as crow’s feet, the fine lines and wrinkles around the eye contour can be erased by Botox. While no surgical procedure can address this concern, great results can be achieved with these injections.

  • Chin Area: Botox can be injected in the chin area to eliminate the horizontal line below the lower lip (marionette lines). It can also be used to lift the corners of the mouth. No other surgical procedures can address these issues.

Fillers
Based on the desired results, a variety of fillers are available to you.

  • Thicker fillers such as Radiesse and Juvederm Ultra Plus
Used to “lift” the cheeks in order to create higher cheek bones or to hide the jowls, the thicker fillers can also be used on the lateral part of the brows to achieve a lift. They are also used for volume enhancement in the temporal areas and mid-cheeks. The results can resemble those of a mini-face lift.
  • Thinner fillers such as Restylane and Juverderm Ultra
Used for fine lines and wrinkles, this type of filler is ideal to minimize fine lines around the mouth and on the cheeks, as well as after Botox if the deep lines on the glabella, also known as the “11 lines between the eyes”, are not completely erased. Thinner fillers are most commonly used for lip enhancement.

To achieve optimal results, the thicker fillers are used first to lift the tissues and then the thinner ones to refine the skin.

Downtime
One of the main advantages of opting for the Liquid Facelift is the fact that the downtime is almost non-existing. Following the procedure, you can expect swelling for 2 to 3 days due to the fillers at the most.

Discomfort
Since all fillers are now mixed with lidocaine (local anesthetic), the expected discomfort is minimal.

“I feel that the use of Botox and fillers can significantly postpone the need for major surgical procedures. Call today to schedule an appointment and further discuss what option best suits your needs.” - HPG

New Peels

We are very pleased to introduce a new series of peels that were designed with the latest and most effective ingredients to meet a variety of skin care needs.

Acne Peels

  • Actinage: Ideal for moderate to severe acne, this peel combines 12% salicylic acid, 12% azelaic acid and 12% mandelic acid. An additional 2% retinol is added at the end of the peel. The procedure requires only 15 minutes. Usually, 4 to 6 treatments scheduled every 2 to 3 weeks are required.

  • Salicylic Acid Peel: Ideal for mild acne, this peel combines 2% salicylic acid peel with microdermabrasion. The microdermabrasion opens the black and white heads which increases penetration of the salicylic acid for better results. In general, 4 to 6 treatments scheduled every 2 to 3 weeks are required.

Anti-Aging Peels:

  • Gloss Peel: Ideal for rough skin texture, uneven pigmentation and severe acne, this peel is a combination of 17% TCA, 17% salicylic acid, 17% azelaic acid and 2% retinol. The peel requires only 15 minutes and the down time is approximately 3 days with peeling, redness and swelling.

  • 1% Retinol Peel: Ideal for rough skin texture, mild pigmentation and mild wrinkles, this gentle peel offers visible results. Usually, 4 to 6 peels scheduled at 3 weeks intervals are required and the down time is approximately 1 to 2 days.

Anti-Melasma Peels:

  • Melanage Peel: Ideal for severe melasma, this peel id also known as the Skin Brightening System and requires the assistance of our Nurse Practitioner. This is the perfect peel to start a treatment to control melasma. The expected downtime is approximately 7 days with redness, peeling, some swelling and dryness. For maximum benefits, the Melanage Peel is followed by the Melanage Mini-Peel.

  • Melanage Mini-Peel:  Ideal as a follow-up treatment to the Melanage Peel or can be used alone for mild and moderate melasma. When used in combination, it should be performed approximately 6 months after the Melanage Peel. Performed by our Nurse Practitioner, this peel will require about 3 days of down time.

NEW at the Center: Naya Touch

As many of you love to reap the benefits of Hair Laser Removal, the pain that comes with such treatment is often difficult to tolerate. We are very pleased to introduce Naya Touch, a medical device that significantly reduces the pain. Naya Touch provides deeper penetration of the topical anesthetic cream applied prior to the laser treatment. Reaching the hair follicles, the anesthetic cream does not only decrease the discomfort considerably, it allows us to perform the treatment at a higher level of power, thus improving the results and lessen the number of sessions.

Henri's Wine Pick of the Crop!

La Casada Salice Salentino, Italy 2008

The name of the wine is that of a small community situated to the north of Lecce in an area of vineyards and olive orchards with scattered farmhouses and ancient watchtowers. Salice Salentino is made from Negro Amaro, for the most part, and Malvasia Nera di Brindisi and Malvasia Nera di Lecce.

This flamboyant Italian wine with plenty of flair and fruit is the result of a blend of Southern Italian grapes that are given several months in oak. Deep ruby-red color; intense and complex bouquet with hints of wild cherry conserve, dried plums, chocolate and vanilla; powerful, warm and balanced flavor with an elegant aftertaste of very ripe fruits and spices, with a pleasant slightly bitter finish. Hope you will enjoy it as much as I did!
